How we work

The principles behind every production we take on

Live television leaves no room for second takes. Equipment fails, guests arrive late and schedules slip, so the way a production is prepared matters as much as the kit itself. These principles shape how we plan, communicate and deliver, from the first call to the final broadcast.

Questions we are often asked

  1. Who do you usually work with?

We work with broadcasters, venue managers, event organisers and production teams across the UK. Some have a full studio that needs integrating or improving, others need a crew for a single event. We are happy to discuss projects of different sizes.

  2. Can you help if we already have equipment?

Yes, and most clients do. We begin by surveying what you own, then advise what works together, what needs replacing and what is simply set up badly. We do not push new purchases where existing kit can do the job.

  3. Do you visit before quoting?

For studio and event work we normally recommend a visit or recce, because room size, power and cable routes affect the plan. For smaller jobs a detailed phone call and photographs may be enough to produce a written quotation.

  4. How do I start a project?

Send an enquiry through the contact page describing what you need, the date and the location. We reply with questions or a proposed visit, then issue a written quotation. Once you confirm it, we invoice and schedule the work.

  5. Can you provide a camera crew only?

Yes. Camera operation and direction is a service in its own right. We agree a shot list, crew size and equipment with you beforehand, and can work alongside your own gallery team where you have one.

  6. Do you train our staff?

Training is part of our workflow audit service. We write run sheets that fit how your team works and train people on the equipment they use daily, at your studio, so what they learn applies straight away.

  7. Can you cover outdoor events and festival stages?

Yes. Live event and stage broadcast is one of our services, using a mobile gallery and signal feeds. Outdoor work needs extra planning for weather, power and cable protection, which we cover during the site recce.

  8. Where are you based?

We are based in Hereford, at 14 Widemarsh Court, and have worked on productions in different parts of the UK. Travel arrangements are agreed in the written quotation, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
